Founded in 2004 by California First Lady Maria Shriver, the Minerva Awards, named for the Roman goddess who graces the California State Seal, honor women who have stepped forward in the spirit of Minerva and changed our world with their courage, their strength, and their wisdom. The annual awards celebrate women who work to make this world a more compassionate, tolerant and just place. This conference-funded exhibit chronicles their lasting legacies.
