Add Review/Comment
The Teaching Artist Workshop Series Multiple Intelligences in the Arts: Teaching to the ways people learn features master teaching artists from the Bay Area Teaching Artists Organized (TAO). Refreshments are served. Parking is plentiful and free.
The theory of multiple intelligences provides a dynamic framework for Teaching Artists to understand our own individual learning strengths and challenges. In this workshop for artists interested in teaching any art form, we will explore the 9 ways of learning and develop strategies for encouraging every student to learn in the way most meaningful to him/her.
This workshop will be led by master teaching artists, Sabrina Klein, of Teaching Artists Organized, Miko Lee, Executive Director of Youth in Arts, and Lilia Agüero, Director of Arts Learning with Young Audience of Northern California.
The Teaching Artist Workshop Series (TAWS) is a series of distinct workshops on a variety of topics of interest to artists who also want to teach and build careers as teaching artists. The series is developed and presented by the Arts Commission’s Education staff with regional and national presenters from the visual and performing arts and education fields.
