Nothin' Personal (7pm): Nothin' Personal warms up the party. "You may have seen this four-piece band with wailin' Katina Whalen at one of their monthly gigs at Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina in South Lake Tahoe. But here's your chance to hear their Classic Rock 'n' Roll, R&B, and Blues here in town. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Janis Joplin, and Led Zepplin are among the band's influences." -Sacramento Bee, 06/11/10
Bob Woods Band (8:30pm): CD Release & Music Video Shoot: "THIS TOWN." "Americana and Rockabilly are the tunes of Bob Woods, who has played with the likes of Tiny Moore, Bill Kirchen, and Ramblin' Jack Elliott, among others. He started playing music in 1971 with the Sacramento western swing band Tokpela, then founded the Nevada City club wonder band, the Bob Woods Trio. Now, his four-piece band (Woods on guitar and vocals, Pete Kmeto on bass and accordion, Steve Namle on drums and Ray Elzey on pedal steel) is crankin' out the sounds." -Sacramento Bee, 08/13/10 (Bob Woods portrait by Kurt Bertilson.)
Dirt Nap Band (10:30pm): Dirt Nap Band brings it home with their blend of Bluegrass, Country, and Americana. This contemporary outfit writes songs of truth and lore; these songs are unintentionally timeless. You can find this trio playing from the Central Valley of California to the Northern Border, so if that's your region, please come out and see the show!
