Northern California has nurtured dozens of shiny-eyed guitar slingers, perhaps it's something about the fog just north of the bay? Whatever it is, for nearly 15 years now, guitarist and songwriter Sean Lehe (Great Owl) has nurtured a small but loyal fan base in the heart of the golden state, making music in the late '90s for the central valley's grateful, and more recently establishing a west coast presence with jamband-friendly Izabella.

The shows of Great Owl are dense and atmospheric, think "Pink Floyd in Bolinas" instead of Pompei, or Neil Young jamming with the Dead at an Acid Test. You can count on catching a handful of your favorite “stoner-rock” covers, as well as hearing some Lehe originals, and of course jams that are more like "sonic-landscapes" than “dance party freak-outs.” Catch a Great Owl show and remember why you love sitting around listening to vinyl at odd hours of the night with your lava lamp on!
