April 9, 2011
Add Review/Comment
This year the NextGen Film Festival (NGFF) will feature Sacramento State students from the new California State University Sacramento film department. The film festival seeks to showcase aspiring directors who advance the film genre, in the ever-expanding digital revolution. NextGen is proud to present the Sac State Film Department’s Student Showcase. Following the CSUS film screening they will be exhibiting an encore presentation of the 2011 Academy Award nominated shorts, including this year’s Oscar winner "God of Love."
NGFF’s event at the historic Sacramento Memorial Auditorium will help raise funds for those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in northern Japan. 100% of the proceeds will go to a fund for Japanese non-profit organizations providing immediate disaster relief and committed to long-term reconstruction efforts.
