Add Review/Comment
A singer from her earliest days in the sunny mountains of Nothern California, Brianna Lea Pruett’s childhood musical education came mostly from her parents' vinyl collection--a mix of classical and choir, Jimi Hendrix, Roberta Flack, Janis Joplin, Leo Kottke, Leonard Cohen, John Denver, and Carole King.
She sang jazz as a teen in small clubs and with friends, and recorded and released two records while moving around the country, to New York, Los Angeles, and Portland.
Pruett has studied with The Meredith Monk House Foundation in NYC, is a student of native american flute with 2-time Grammy award winner Mary Youngblood, and has shared stages with Jonah Matranga of Far and Gratitude, Jacob Golden, Sean Hayashi, Mark Kozelek of Sun Kil Moon and Red House Painters, Two Sheds, Ruebi Lynn, Nick Jaina, Coal Beautiere, Karl Blau, Lady Lazarus, and others.
