Join Anita Clevenger, Historic Rose Garden Manager and Sacramento County Lifetime Master Gardener, with Bill Harp, Rosarian, for a workshop on antique roses for “Rose Classification Part I: Old Garden Roses.” Learn about early once-blooming Alba, Damask, and Gallica roses and repeat-blooming Bourbons, Chinas, Teas, and Hybrid Perpetuals, all within the Historic Rose Garden.
The two hour workshop will include a lecture, a hands-on examination of typical varieties, and a short walk through the garden looking at some of the garden's nearly 500 old and historic roses.
