Lumens Light + Living and the Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento’s Gallery Associates Diana Bowers, Stacey Hilton, and Mariana Moscoso are pleased to present Light Experiments, a study based on the properties of light, shadow, reflection, refraction, color, and their dialogue with sound and lines. It is created as a collaboration between M. Azevedo, Diane Richey-Ward, Jiayi Young, and Shih-Wen Young. These experiments prelude to a solo exhibition at the Axis Gallery in July 2011.

About The Art of Light series: Lumens Light + Living has invited Diana Bowers, Stacey Hilton, and Mariana Moscoso from the Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento to collaborate on a series of exhibitions called The Art of Light. In this year-long series, they will explore how artists have taken the concept of light, to create a unique visual experience using both traditional and nontraditional media. The visual possibilities of light are infinite and only limited by the artists’ unique experience.

An Artist Reception takes place on Preview Thursday.
