The Discovery Museum Science & Space Center celebrates our 60th Anniversary with a year-long retrospective of science milestones of the last six decades. In June, we celebrate great science of the 1970s.
The Discovery Museum Science & Space Center is celebrating 60 years of sensational science milestones that have occurred during the decades. One such momentous occasion was the discovery of coronal mass ejections (CMEs), or a storm upon the surface of the Sun. It is the solar equivalent of a hurricane on Earth. Kick off summer by learning about this amazing phenomenon, in our classroom and planetarium. Glitter sun banners are the craft for the weekend.
Planetarium shows at 1pm and 3pm are included with admission (ages 4 and above only); live animal shows at Noon and 2pm are for all ages.
