Randy Travis and Whiskey Dawn

Just a few miles south of Sacramento, the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a beautiful setting for concerts. Their concert series kicks off with a performance by Randy Travis, with Whiskey Dawn. Like the Beatles in rock, Randy Travis marks a generational shift in country music. When his Storms of Life came out in 1986, country music was still wallowing in the post-urban cowboy recession, chasing elusive crossover dreams. Travis brought the music back to its basics, sounding like nothing so much as a perfect blend of George Jones and Merle Haggard. He became the dominant male voice in country until the rise of "hat acts" like Garth Brooks and Clint Black, releasing seven consecutive number one singles during one stretch.
The Old Sugar Mill is home to a unique community of seven California wineries and their signature wines: Todd Taylor Wines, Three Wine Company, The Solomon Wine Company, Heringer Estates, Clarksburg Wine Company, Elevation Ten, and the Carvalho Family Wines. The wineries at the Old Sugar Mill, in Clarksburg, California, are a bridge to the rich agricultural heritage of the region, whose vineyards are staking their claim alongside the great wine growing regions of the world. The Old Sugar Mill is a popular destination for wine tasting, weddings and a wide variety of special events.
Now, the Old Sugar Mill will also host a terrific new concert series! Concerts happen rain or shine.
