Social media has transformed the way moms connect and gather information in the 21st Century. They’re turning to Twitter, blogs, and forums for everything from seeking advice on the best baby products to connecting with other like-minded moms. Many digital savvy and entrepreneurial moms are even taking to the blogosphere as “mommy bloggers” where they offer their experiences, word-of-mouth brand endorsements, and accumulate influential communities of followers online.

Always viewed as an attractive target for advertising and public relations, brands are taking note of the Internet’s most desirable group and leveraging social media in new ways online to capture their attention and purchasing power offline.

Sacramento Social Media Club has gathered a panel of influential digital moms and mommy bloggers to discuss best practices when it comes to finding, reaching and engaging moms online.

    Panelists:
Melissa Arca with Confessions of a Dr. Mom @Melissa_DrMom
Christine Young with From Dates to Diapers @YoungMommy
Sarah Cook with Raising CEO Kids @RaisingCEOKids
Carrie Stokes with Between the Limes @BetweenTheLimes
Nikki Medoro with Mama On The Mic @NikkiMedoroKFBK
See complete panelist bios on the Event Brite page.

Moderator: Meghan Phillips, Principal/Marketing Director, The Honey Agency @meghanhoney

    Agenda:
    6:30pm-7pm Check-in/Socializing
    7pm-8:30pm Presentation, Q&A (Ustream begins)
    8:30pm-9pm Afterparty (optional)
*Live stream on Ustream begins at 7pm

Continue the conversation at the SMCSAC Afterparty at The Urban Hive directly following the program. Enjoy complimentary refreshments provided by Selland's Market-Cafe and water provided by The Sacramento Press.

Since their first event in April of 2009, Sacramento Social Media Club has provided the community with free panels and workshops. They've brought cutting edge topics, knowledgeable speakers, and great food and drinks. They've been able to do all this for free thanks to generous sponsors and individuals. But, as they grow, they need your help. At this event, they're asking for a $10 donation at the door to help cover costs.
