California’s State Capitol makes heads spin on a regular basis, but never like you’ll see on September 10, as the fastest riders in the country descend upon the reborn Sacramento Grand Prix.

Here you’ll find the sport’s best short course riders, the developing 2012 women’s Olympic team, and future stars of cycling all coming together in the crescendo of this year’s competitive season. As the third and final leg of Project Sport’s Triple Crown, the Sac Grand Prix will complete the drama that has built throughout the Pittsburg Twilight and San Rafael Twilight Criteriums, and be the final competition before cycling’s national wrap party at the Las Vegas Interbike trade show.

Come experience the pageantry of criterium-style racing—fast, urban, and gritty. Do not miss this chance to be in the epicenter of cycling’s prominence.

The Start/Finish line, and Awards Stage will be at 11th & L. St, opposite the Capitol. From there, riders travel west, then turn down 10th St, onto N St, then up 15th St before turning back onto L Street. The route encapsulates the whole of Capitol Park, providing plenty of opportunity for spectators and vendors to find a space on the inside or the outside of the course. A $10,000 prize is on offer, making the Sacramento Grand Prix one of the richest purses on the US Cycling schedule.
