Mary Youngblood and the Sisters of the Earth

Add Review/Comment
The American River History Association and the Effie Yeaw Nature Center are pleased to present a concert featuring two-time Grammy Award winner, Mary Youngblood, and the Sisters of the Earth. Mary, one of the premier Native American musicians in the country, is an Emmy nominee and the first Native American person to have won two Grammys. When Mary performs, it takes only a moment to recognize the profound spirituality of the sacred Native American flute and its historical courtship and wooing attributes. Her haunting music is much more than a song--it is liquid poetry, a prayer.
