Blank City: Special Opening Night Event
July 15, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Blank City is a captivating portrait of New York’s underground DIY cinema movement from 1977-1987, and features interviews with lots of great people including Steve Buscemi, Jim Jarmusch, John Waters, Amos Poe, Debbie Harry, Thurston Moore, Richard Kern, Lydia Lunch, and many more.
Associate Professor of Digital Media and Film at CSUS, Jenny Stark, will be presenting a pre-lecture and screening some of her own work. Some may remember Stark's outstanding pre-lecture for John Waters last summer as part of the California Lecture Series which made her the perfect complement to this program.
VCA has teamed up with Record Club and will be auctioning off a signed poster at the event inked by Jim Jarmusch, Steve Buscemi, Debbie Harry, and more!
DJ Mike C will be spinning in the lobby before the show.
