Open Interactive: Hands-On Abstract Exhibit
September 10-September 11, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Open Interactive is a hands-on abstract art exhibit that will immerse visitors in the process of abstract painting during the Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento’s 6th Annual Capitol Artists’ Studio Tour at the Art Foundry Building. Visitors will have the opportunity to create their own abstract expressionist works with help from Northern California abstract artist Lisa Fernald Barker and art docents. Participants can throw paint from cans like Jackson Pollock or concentrate on color combinations and brush strokes like the late Richard Diebenkorn.
Open Interactive is part of the Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento’s (CCAS) annual Capitol Artists’ Studio Tour (CAST) featuring more than 100 artists working in a variety of mediums and styles.
