The Cambridge University Footlights are a seedbed for mighty comedy talents, having launched such stars as Hugh Laurie, Monty Python, Peter Cook, Stephen Fry, Douglas Adams, Emma Thompson, and Sacha Baron Cohen. This September, a breakthrough group of Footlights will become the first to embark on a full-blown, high-profile tour of the States since the early 1960s, taking in both the East and West Coasts.

The Cambridge Footlights’ 2011 Tour Show--Pretty Little Panic--has already played a string of prestigious London venues and is currently in the middle of a month-long run at the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Festival. Having been granted the Festival’s much-coveted "sell-out" status every year for the past decade, catching the Cambridge Footlights is widely regarded as an essential part of the overall “Edinburgh Experience.”
