The World Music Series at Sacramento State presents South Indian classical music with saxophonist Padmashri Kadri Gopalnath, accompanied by A. Kanyakumari (violin), B. Harikumar (mridangam) and Rajendra Nakod (tabla).  A native of Dakshina Kannada, Gopalnath has performed around the world and was awarded the Kendriya Sangeet Natak Academy Award in 2003 by the president of India.
