WORKSHOPS & CLASSES

Rose Classification II
October 8, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Join for a workshop about "modern" roses in the Historic Rose Garden. These include roses in the classes introduced after 1867, including Hybrid Teas, Hybrid Musks, Polyanthas, Floribundas, Ramblers, and Large-Flowered Climbers. Many of these roses were grown and loved in the 19th and 20th centuries, and are still popular today. Rose garden volunteers Bill Harp and Anita Clevenger will describe these roses and how to recognize and grow them, pass around samples, and lead a tour into the Historic Rose Garden to look at how these roses grow.
Parking is across from the 10th St. entrance.
