Nikki D & The Machine began as Nikki and Derek Dehay evolved their writing styles into a fresh new Rock n Roll sound! Nikki's unique melodies accompanied by her acoustic guitar pushed their music accross multiple genres. Derek's vocal capability, depth in writing, and smooth lead tones gives the music a harmonic flow that keeps the music interesting and listenable. There is no doubt that the piano and synth playing by Mark Porter accentuates and adds dynamic moods and a universal blend of unique chord structures. Steve Sanchez adds a smooth solid bass sound with sometime obscure rythyms all while being synched together by Matt Devreaux's solid and punchy back beat. They perform Top 40 Cover songs from the '80s and '90s along with strong and dynamic original music that is simply enjoyable to listen to.
