Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown, is bored with the monotony of success, until his discovery of Christmas Town inspires him to become “Sandy Claws”—with dubious results.
Tim Burton, director of offbeat classics like Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands, currently has a major retrospective at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Explore Burton’s unique aesthetic during a pre-screening draw-along at 6:30pm led by local artist Sarma Karsiere.
Presented in collaboration with Movies on a Big Screen. Open Art is part of the program series Thursdays ‘til 9.
