DJ R-O (Rob Farmer) is a musician and DJ from Sacramento. He runs and owns Root One Music, an independent record label he started in 1997 that specializes in hip hop, rock, and reggae. He has been DJing for 14 years and has played at numerous venues and clubs throughout the United States. He was the DJ for the independent hip hop group Natural Disaster and has DJed extensively for legendary beat-boxer Radioactive from Spearhead.

R-O has put out three mix-tapes, Quannum Sole, a compilation of tunes from The Quannum/Solesides family, The Summer 2002 mix-tape, and The England Tour 2004 mix-tape. He has also put out a number of live mixes. He toured England with one of his best best buddies Dayo, who is also 1/3 of Natural Disaster and a gifted artist and MC. R-O has shared the stage with such national acts as The X-ecutioners, formerly the x-men as well as Cannabis, O.A.R., and Skerik.

He graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences with a degree in sound engineering and also graduated from UC Davis with an American Studies degree. He worked as an assistant to A&R at Interscope Records in L.A. in the late 1990s. He has produced records for Soldout, Natural Disaster, Dayo, and Shakedown. Shakedown is the most successful artist on Root One Music and has toured the country numerous times. R-O also is Shakedown's executive producer and manager as well. Today R-O can be found regularly playing sets on the turntables at clubs throughout the West Coast.
