The Camellia Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will heat up the new year with an eclectic concert that offers jazzy compositions, a famous ballet by Stravinsky as well as a world premiere piece by up-and-coming jazz and classical music composer, Julian Waterfall Pollack.
Julian Waterfall Pollack comes from a musical family: his father is CSO’s music director and conductor, Dr. Allan Pollack (also a composer) and his mother, Susan Waterfall, is a concert pianist. This is Julian’s first classical music composition although he is well known throughout Europe and the United States for his jazz compositions. Julian has recorded two CDs, the latest received critical acclaim from the San Francisco Chronicle and NPR.
