The Capitol Comedy Competition is a five week comedy showcase featuring comics from all over the state competing for the $1,000 grand prize. The first annual comedy competition will crown the funniest comic in the Capital City for 2011. Check the list below and make sure to come out to root for your favorite comedian.

Schedule:
-Week 1: Hosted by Esau McGraw & DJ Rip-1. Featuring: D Tyler (Sac), Michael Calvin Jr. (Sac), "Insane" Wayne Jackson (Stockton), Leaf the Comedian (Sac), Marcus Smith (Sac), Tristian Johnson (Oakland).
-Week 2: Hosted by Steph Sanders & DJ Tone Pesci. Featuring: Doboy Belcher (LA), Johnny Taylor (Sac), Regina Givens (Sac), Jay Rich (Oakland), E Clark (Vallejo), Mike Betancourt (Sac).
-Week 3: Hosted by DJ Flipside. Featuring: Lance Woods (Sac), Stephen Furey (Sac), Daunte Burks (Sac)
-Week 4: Hosted by DJ Racer X. Featuring: Marcus "Poke" Miles (Richmond), Ba Hunter (Vacaville), Queenie TT (Rio Vista), Big Tree (Oakland), Dru Burks (Sac), Rico the Great (Sac), Lefty Anderson (Modesto).
-Week 5: The Finale plus special guests.
