FESTIVALS

Held in the heart of midtown, the Rainbow Festival celebrates Sacramento’s Gay and Lesbian Community with two nightlife events, culminating in a street fair on Sunday featuring entertainment and vendors all day long. The core purpose of Rainbow Festival is twofold: To raise money for charities that have significant importance to the Lesbian and Gay Community and to raise public awareness of those charities; to create a celebration of our Pride that is pure fun!

Festival Schedule:
Friday, August 31, 8pm at Badlands & Faces:
Rainbow Festival Kick Off Party at Badlands. Yara Sofia RuPail Drag Race All Star performs with Pollo Del Mar and her cast of Divas from SF’s #1 Drag Show Glamazone. Club Papi at Faces Nightclub.

Saturday, Sept 1, 10pm-Close at Badlands:
Rainbow Ball at Badlands featuring porn stars, underwear models, drag queen pop up performances, and meet and greets with select Rainbow Festival performing artists.

Sunday, Sept 2, 10am-6pm at 20th & K Streets (outside the MARRS Building):
Rainbow Festival Street Fair featuring entertainment and vendors all day long. There will be entertainment on the main stage, women’s stage, and Latin stage, plus two dance areas. New for 2012 is the Detour Alley/Leather Stage. La Kish Hayworth Memorial Scholarship & General Scholarship Awards. This year's entertainment is over the top! Featured artists include Deborah Cox, Lisa Lisa, Ultra Nate, Jessica Sutta, Luciana, Erika Jayne, and Raquela.
