    Tower and the Broadway Icons

    Join Beatnik as they pay homage to the greatness of the Tower Theater by displaying photographs, paintings and multi media works of this landmark. The gallery will be filled with only images of the Tower Theater in order to highlight its significance in the community and showcase how it has influenced so many local artists and those who view there work.

    Join Beatnik as they pay homage to the greatness of the Tower Theater by displaying photographs, paintings and multi media works of this landmark. The gallery will be filled with only images of the Tower Theater in order to highlight its significance in the community and showcase how it has influenced so many local artists and those who view there work.

    The show will feature works by local and regional artists, with artwork that celebrates the iconic Sacramento landmark and also its historical and cultural significance in the Broadway District as the birthplace of Tower Records. The call to artists also broadened to include other Broadway icons of past and present including the Sacramento Solons Stadium, The City Cemetery, Joe Marty’s, and The News10 Weather Tower.

    The Center for Sacramento History is also participating with historical photos of the area.

    Come out on Final Friday for a night of live music, art, and a pub crawl.
