The Sacramento Burger Battle showcases the skills of Sacramento area restaurants, showing the region and the country the top notch dining experience Sacramento has to offer while supporting a great cause. This September 18 (National Cheeseburger Day), after an evening of burgers, beers, wine tasting, live music, and fun, one local restaurant will be crowned the Best Burger in Sacramento.

There'll be an esteemed panel of official judges and YOU, the burger loving citizens, can cast your vote for the People’s Choice burger favorite.

All proceeds from this fun filled four-hour cook-off event (think live music, local breweries, great food) will be donated to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

I would love to attend the Sacramento Burger battle because ever since I was a young boy I have a had a love for burgers. My grandpa who raised me had a real love for a great Burger and we would spend our free time making burgers using different seasoning combos cause we wanted them as flavorful as possible. We would only grill them on the 20 gal drum pit he made so we would end up making a lot. I continue that passion today even after he has passed. Its a way to remember those great times.I shared with my grandpa who was my idol growing up. I now also am a great BBQ chef so I truly understand the passion and pride these cooks have in making their burgers competing and sharing them with the world. Also I have never ever won anything personally so this could be a first if chosen. P.s. I know my grandpa would have loved to go to something like if he was still around.thank you for taking the time to read why I love burgers. Collapse
