Free Music in the Park: Cat Stevens Tribute Band

This rollicking outdoor musical treat features entertainment for kids and grownups, providing the perfect setting to relax with family, friends and neighbors. With a blanket and a picnic basket everyone can enjoy great music in a wonderful outdoor venue.

The feature band is the Cat Stevens Tribute Band. The Tribute Band will play such hits as "Peace Train," "Miles from Nowhere," and "Father and Son" while weaving in Stevens' fascinating life journey from simple art-student turned late-1960s pop star to 1970 international icon. On the children's stage is popular entertainer, GWhiz.

Sponsors will be on hand with hot dogs, bon bons from Gunther's Ice Cream, and there will be a beer & wine garden for those over 21 who wish to enjoy adult beverages.

SCNA's Music in the Park is sponsored by Joseph Eschleman, CIMA, Wells Fargo Advisors; City Councilman Jay Schenirer; Cook Realty and the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission.
