    Del Close developed this long form improvisation format at iO in Chicago over 20 years ago. Nearly everything in improv is a variation off the Harold, and now you’re part of that history. Yeah, like we said, get excited! Your instructor, Paul Burke, studied the Harold in Chicago at iO. He was fortunate to go through their entire program, and is excited to share what he learned from some of the best instructors in the world.

    If you've taken an improv course before, you've never taken one quite like this. At Blacktop we focus on character and narrative improv. Both experienced and new improvisers will take a lot away from this class.

    Level 3 class will culminate in an exhibition performance on the Blacktop stage. A celebration of all your hard work! (invite your friends and family). It’s going to be fun!
