The Royal Drummers and Dancers of Burundi
Presented by Three Stages at Folsom Lake College at Three Stages Performing Arts Center
November 19, 2012
They have performed in the same way for centuries, passing down traditions and techniques from father to son. Traditionally a part of ceremonies such as births or funerals, these drums of Burundi are sacred and represent the powers of fertility and regeneration.
