    Small scale assemblage has recently been a very effective and liberating way for Raphael Delgado to overlap his interests in painting and sculpture; interweaving materials, textures, and meanings. Delgado’s collages are mostly comprised of personal drawings, paintings, and sketches that he has ripped and re-contextualized into small groupings. His mixed-media constructions are inspired by the working process. Much like an artist’s workspace, the surfaces of Delgado’s recent work are unsterilized, somewhat organized, and bustling with creative ideas and energy.

    Raphael Delgado will be showing in the Loft Gallery.
