    Call of the Wolf

    The Ecokinesis Dance Company and Crane Culture Theater perform the remarkable story of the California wolf. These dancers and musicians blend science and art by drawing inspiration from environmental sciences and multiple dance and music traditions to create and perform dances that aim to increase the audience's understanding and appreciation of the natural environment that sustains us all.

    -The Science and Politics of Wolves lecture with Dr. Mark Rockwell, Endangered Species Coalition and Pamela Flick, Defenders of Wildlife

    About the Speakers:
    -Dr. Rockwell has been working in conservation and on endangered species issues since 2005.  He is currently working on California's wolf management plan, and generating opposition to the removal of wolves from the endangered species list.
    -Pamela Flick is the California Representative for Defenders of Wildlife and a member of the California Wolf Stakeholders Group, which is working with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to draft a statewide wolf management plan. She also serves on the steering committee of the Pacific Wolf Coalition.
