Sacramento Theatre Company (STC) is a nationally recognized professional theatre company located in Sacramento. As one of the oldest and largest arts institutions in the region, STC presents only the best classical and modern plays. From September to May, STC theatres feature eight performances each week, for a total of more than 300 each year.

STC entertains, educates, inspires, and enriches. There's nothing else quite like great professional theatre!

    03/28/12- 05/06/12	Barrymore Sacramento Theatre Company Barrymore Presented by Sacramento Theatre Company at Sacramento Theatre Company March 28-May 6, 2012 Barrymore (from the author of The Belle of Amherst, last season’s surprise hit) is a one man tour-de-force about John Barrymore (Drew's grandfather!). This fascinating show opens up to us the world of the Barrymore legacy. This performance is on the Pollock Stage.

      This show was VERY well done! Great acting and singing... story line familiar but smartly adapted to make it fresh. I went with my children and I loved it and they all loved it! It was really moving and brought tears to our eyes at the end, even though we knew what would happen. :-) The performance of Scrooge, especially, was very moving. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a little renewed holiday spirit. Collapse

      Many might groan at the thought of seeing another "fairytale classic" where there is never a short supply of short men, dancing children, cliche endings, magic spells, missing slippers, et cetera, et cetera... But "Cinderella" at the STC truly is a magical, and HILARIOUS version of the classic tale... like you've never seen it before. Performed in the British Pantomime style with men playing some of the women's roles, and the audience asked to participate, the play makes fun of itself in such a splendid way, that there is no dull moment, and plenty of pleasant surprises! A complete treasure and perfect for a night out with friends, or fun with the whole family! Collapse
