    Established in 1986, B Street Theatre has 140 seats and provides audiences with an intimate or in-your-face experience. Founded by brothers, Buck and Timothy Busfield, the theatre is dedicated to premiering diverse new works. Tim is famous for his role in Field of Dreams, Sneakers, and, more recently, TV's The West Wing. Buck has written some of the plays and Timothy directs various in-house productions.       So, starved for sketch comedy since my youth, I was eager to get my fill at the newly-launched B Street: Live! series, held at the also-new Assembly. The sketch scenes were amusing and elicited quite a few giggles from my date and me, but the improv scenes in particular were a riot. Taking audience suggestions can be a dangerous game, but the actors jumped right in and ran with them — to hilarious results.

      While the improv will, of course, be different at every viewing, the sketches are changed periodically as well to keep up with current events and keep you coming back for more. Collapse
