Beyond the Proscenium Productions (CLOSED)
Beyond the Proscenium Productions' (BPP) mission is to deepen the artistic connection between performer and audience by producing unconventional, disciplined, and highly stylized theatrical work. Determined to redefine the experience of conventional theatre, BPP will strive for artistic excellence through experimental examinations of non-realistic dramatic structure using elements from dance, drama, movement, and music.
As of September 2009, Beyond the Proscenium Productions (BPP) is no longer producing its quirky style of theatre in Sacramento. After a series of unfortunate occurrences, the board of directors decided that BPP has already served its mission to enrich the cultural climate of Sacramento. Personal matters coupled with dwindling arts funding expected in the near future sealed the deal to close the tent.
