Movies on a Big Screen
Movies on a Big Screen (MOBS) is an ongoing film festival/microcinema that started in September of 2006 in Sacramento.
MOBS shows independent films, documentaries, and shorts, hosts community-based special events, and on occasion have late night audience participation screenings. Many screenings have had filmmakers and guest speakers in attendance for Q&A. The film is digitally projected onto a large screen (not a big screen TV). There are no awards given out in the "traditional" festival sense, but any filmmaker in attendance is welcome to one free can of Pabst (by request).
