Comment on Facebook The California Exposition & State Fair (CE&SF) is an independent state agency established by law and governed primarily by the California Department of Food and Agriculture codes. Governed by an appointed Board of Directors, daily operations are managed by a permanent staff of 100. During the State Fair more than 2,000 temporary employees are hired for the event's duration. The CE&SF is a self-sufficient operation receiving no government funding and yet has an estimated economic impact of more that $156.7 million on the region.

The Fair Board is persistent on having the "Birthing" exhibits at this year's fair, despite the errant pregnant cow & her unborn calf being gunned down last year after escaping from the exhibit. The cow was referred to as a "nut job" & ordered security to shoot her and they did, 7
times! There must have been a dozen farmers, cowboys, stockhandlers nearby, and THIS was the best they could do? Unacceptable! People need to be able to make an informed decision on whether they feel they should support the CA
State Fair or not. As for me.... NOT!

The last state fair a cow whom escaped the "birthing exhibit" got shot to death, which has led to public demand to stop such animal exhibits. The oher animals at the state fair are placed under just as stressful and arid situations while staying at the outdated, unsubstantial and non-air conditioned buildings from when Governor Ronald Reagan
decided to spend as cheaply as possible for Cal Expo's buildings.

This was a total disappointment. There were few beers that you couldn't just get in an average bar; the music was terrible and the entrance fee of $10 was WAY overpriced as was the beer. Go to a nice restaurant/bar/brewhouse and you can get much more for no entrance fee.

What a great show! Cannibal and the Headhunters were the first act and the excellent musicians for most of the acts and they rocked! Sonny Geraci was great! Merrilee Rush shined! And Jay and the Americans made it seem like everybody in attendance was singing along and clapping along with glee and fervor! It was awesome! My wife and I were singing all night! What a trip through time! It was like driving along the highway with your radio playing all your favorite oldies, only it was LIVE! And the bands were unique! We looked around to see everyone enjoying themselves immensely, and we had such a great time for only $20! Easily the steal of the year when it comes to concerts, so thank you Joey, Cannibal, Sonny, Americans, Merrilee, and Otis Day! You know it makes me wanna SHOUT! Thank you Hulabaloo! Thank you State Fair! Woo-Hoo! We are still singing two days later!

I love hammer! I'm glad he choose to do the state fair show for a reasonable price for those who haven't been able to venture out and seen him live. I'm glad he's making a comeback and I love his new TV show. It shows a lot of positivity to families and were one of them! Keep up the good work Hammer and please don't hurt em!
