Councilman Steve Cohn & Pops in the Park Committee
In 1995, Councilmember Steve Cohn transformed Pops in the Park into a series of evening concerts. Cohn also saw an opportunity to raise money for under-funded neighborhood parks while bringing free, quality entertainment to the community. Since 1995, sponsorship and advertising dollars, as well as proceeds from the sale of food and beverages at the events, have been used to fund the events, enhance neighborhood parks, bring improvements to the neighborhood, and provide youth athletic scholarships.

Event Name: Pops in the Park Concert: The Q-Balls
"Family fun."
Review posted by: rosemarie from sacramento, ca., May 09, 2011
Went to all Pops in the Park concerts last year. This band did a great job! Everyone had fun. Bring blankets/chairs & an ice chest if you want or buy food there. Perfect family event.
