Comment on Facebook Northern California Arts is one of the largest, most dynamic nonprofit art organizations in the Sacramento Region. Founded in 1939 by a group of fine artists whose mission it was to promote the appreciation of and the participation in the visual arts and to spearhead art education in the community, Northern California Arts still pursues those goals today.

Aspiring Artists Debut 2012

January 31-February 18, 2012
Aspiring Artist Debut 2012 is a free art exhibit showing work of new artists, from high school age to adult, who have never shown in a juried exhibition. This annual art show is sponsored by Northern California Arts, Inc. All media are accepted in this show, so expect to see a mix of drawing, mixed media, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography, and sculpture.
The 2nd Saturday Reception will include an awards presentation.

Describing his workshop, Steve Memering says: “After the success of my last workshop at the Fine Arts Center, there seemed to be considerable interest in exploring more extensively modern acrylics and techniques. This coming workshop in October will emphasize 'open' acrylics and how to use them. I’m finding that they are giving my work quite and constantly gaining insight regarding ways of using the new technology.
