Sacramento Community Concert Association
The SCCA, established in 1953, is presenting its 59th year of 5 concert programs booked this year with Live on Stage. The mission of the Sacramento Community Concert Association is to provide quality local, national and international programs of live music to its subscribers at a reasonable price while operating on a sound fiscal basis. The SCCA has achieved success in fulfilling its mission for the first 57 years solely by the help of volunteers and subscription sales. It has never placed ads in it playbills, nor has it ever had a sponsor. Last year, the 58th, was the first year the SCCA solicited donations. Those donations have made this 59th year possible.
Sacramento Community Concerts offers a five-concert series each year, and occasionally offers a bonus sixth concert. Community Concerts are able to offer high-quality programs at a low price because:
-Volunteers do the work of the Association
-Current subscribers renew (generally an 85-90% renewal rate)
-There are no reserved seats (open seating substantially reduces cost)
-Season subscriptions provide guaranteed funding for all concerts
-Short and successful subscription campaigns reduce overhead costs to a minimum
