A member of the American Kennel Club, the Sacramento Kennel Club’s first records date back into the 1920s. In the beginning, it was part of the California State Fair in the ’50s, where it was immediately recognized as one of the premier shows in the country. In the ’60s, Cal Expo was built in Sacramento, and it became their new home every year. In the ’80s, several specialty clubs joined and their growth has compounded year-after-year. Today, they celebrate one four-day annual show every April, and have become known for their outstanding show dogs, the competition, and as a great family-friendly event.

  1. Not long ago we lost our beloved dog and are looking to get a new dog in our family. Perhaps you may know someone who wants to place a Dalmacion or German Shorthair dog in a loving home. Thank You, Barbara

  2. Will there be a bench show in 2022? If not, is there an avenue for contacting English Springer Spaniel breeders/exhibitors from previous shows?

    • Hi, I need some information about litter registration that I didn’t found in the AKC website.
