Never before in Sacramento has a community theater put on stage such a stellar group of internationally trained actors, dancers, and musicians. The Teatro Nagual Inc. group will perform the original play written by charismatic Hollywood personality Ed Begley Jr.

The musical Cesar and Ruben will bring to life Cesar Chavez, the most iconic Chicano activist in the United States. His human side will be exposed through contemporary songs and dialogue created by Begley Jr.'s Cesar and Ruben, is a tale that humanizes Chavez, showing his challenges, and joys through the dialog with Ruben and the songs selected for the musical. It also recreates instances in the life of the main characters, that haven’t been told before. The story shows that although our heroes aren’t perfect, there is commitment and passion for the community.
