Wells Fargo Pavilion
Comment on Facebook The Wells Fargo Pavilion is a 2500 seat production theatre in the round and home to the California Musical Theatre. CMT has produced musicals under its Music Circus tent for over 50 years. The new design recalls summer stock tent theatres that were popular at the turn of the century and contributed to the beginnings of the American Musical Theatre. The seasonal summer tent has been replaced with climatic comfort and the longevity of a permanent structure.
R.F. McCann & Company has preserved the experience of the summer-stock style musical venue while creating a permanent steel long span, Teflon fabric covered roof that provides all the conveniences of a traditional structure. The new 180-foot long span fabric structure over a 2500 seat arena makes the Wells Fargo Pavilion the only summer stock tent theatre of its kind anywhere. The new tent is also part of a block-sized project, funded by the City and County of Sacramento.
