    Pastels for Children Elk Grove Fine Arts Center Pastels for Children Presented by Elk Grove Fine Arts Center at Elk Grove Fine Arts Center June 20, 2013 This class is Pastels for Children (ages 8-13) with Nancy Quiaoit. This workshop will focus on drawing a three-dimensional object that reflects depth and dimension while encouraging individual creativity. Artist Georgia O’Keefe will be discussed, and students will concentrate on drawing flowers or sea shells. Students will learn about shading, tone, blending, and layering techniques using soft pastels on fine art paper.

    Kumihimo Bead Weaving Elk Grove Fine Arts Center Kumihimo Bead Weaving Presented by Elk Grove Fine Arts Center at Elk Grove Fine Arts Center June 22, 2013 Join Petey Connolly for this workshop on Kumihimo bead weaving. Kumihimo is a Japanese fiber weaving technique adapted to use with beads. The result is a beautiful bracelet or necklace that resembles the more difficult bead Crochet.
