Viewpoint Photographic Art Center, a nonprofit organization, is the heart of a thriving, energetic, and supportive photographic community. Viewpoint’s role is to promote the art of photography through: exhibits of original photography by contemporary and historic photographers; lectures, discussion, workshops, field trips, and educational programs; events to foster public awareness and appreciation of photographic art; collection, preservation, and publication.

      Small Things: Gene Crowe Viewpoint Photographic Art Center Small Things: Gene Crowe Presented by Viewpoint Photographic Art Center at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center May 9-June 2, 2012 Viewpoint Photographic Art Center is pleased to present the “Intentional Photographs” of Gene Crowe in an exhibit called Small Things in the Step Up Gallery. Crowe has been working with digital images that he calls "Small Things": found objects, macro images, still life, parts, and the manipulation of light on different surfaces.       Lost Worlds: Ruins of the Americas: Work by Arthur Drooker Viewpoint Photographic Art Center Lost Worlds: Ruins of the Americas: Work by Arthur Drooker Presented by Viewpoint Photographic Art Center at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center May 9-June 2, 2012 Viewpoint Gallery is pleased to present the photographs of Arthur Drooker in an exhibition called Lost Worlds: Ruins of the Americas in the Main Gallery. Drooker is a photographer whose work has been exhibited and published since 1980. His award-winning book American Ruins, was the first photographic survey of historic ruins throughout the United States. He is also an Emmy Award-winning writer and director of television documentaries.

After photographing it he started digging through his car for his own piece of footwear that he could add—and then he stopped, not really understanding why he’d experienced that odd impulse.
