My name is Joy Montano, Guest Relations Manager for the University of Nevada Las Vegas Performing Arts Center. We are doing research to see how other university/college campuses around the country are starting their performing arts seasons this fall. We have thought of putting on virtual live streamed events and even brainstormed out of the box ideas such as having a somewhat restaurant type of business model with a featured artist/performer from the various disciplines within our College of Fine Arts. We would appreciate any feedback and ideas as to what others in our same situation are doing. I don't have a specific form that we are collecting responses on but some questions we would have are as follows:
1. Are you having any live events?
2. If no live events, how are you providing performing arts to the community?
3. If you are doing live streaming performances, what platform are you using to live stream?
4. Are you charging patrons for virtual events or are they free?
5. If you are charging patrons, are you preventing patrons from sharing live stream links or event links and how are you preventing them from doing so?
6. Are you doing any out of the box to generate revenue such as the performing arts restaurant I've mentioned above?
I think that covers most of it but if you have anything else to add we would appreciate all the feedback we can get. Thank you again for your time and I hope your season goes well. Take care and stay safe!
