Created by Nicole Kniss and Justin Johnson, these two designers have been able to portray a theatrical style by using vintage fabrics. They choose textiles and patterns from an array of different colors and craftily sew together beautiful creations. The artfully chic clothing will catch the eye of many of those that like to make a bold fashion statement. The collections show a range of timeless styles and innovative traits. VDN has a strong personality that coincides with the future of fashion. VDN is marketed towards those in their youth and those that have a passion for the arts. Monica Neumann Lunardi

Monica Neumann Lunardi is a Sacramento journalistic photo artist. An artist intent on applying my talents to make the world a better place, her key focus is raising awareness and promoting acceptance. "Artistic photography provokes emotion. There are no boundaries or restrictions. There are no stringent rules. Unusual angles and perspectives show that the world has many versions of reality and endless diversity to embrace. Every one of us has the power to choose...to accept. I want to empower; I want to liberate! My energy goes to causes, to organizations, and to people in need—all I want in return is that they pay it forward someday." Angelica Newby

Angelica V. Newby is an abstract illustrator and Emotive Surface Pattern™ Designer, currently residing in Sacramento, CA. Born in East Orange New Jersey and raised on the east coast, Angelica has always aspired to a life as a visual artist. They started creating illustrations from a very young age and that desire to create art has never quit. They love bringing what they read in books, dreams, emotions or even have played in video games, to life on paper. Their pattern design art also started young too, they used ink pens to draw highly detailed and stunning designs. The love of art truly soared after this into deciding one thing: To be a world-renowned artist! Their dream is showcasing their artwork in galleries and festivals, collaborate with other artists on expansive art projects and traveling to create art all over the world! So upon graduating from high school in 2007, Angelica took this fiery passion in heart and moved to Florida to study at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. They spent a couple years in the Game Art and Design program to boost their illustration and creative thinking skills. Ultimately, to attain the marketing and fine art skills they needed to propel their career, they graduated with a degree in Graphic design and worked many years as a freelance designer.

Steven Newcomb

Steven D. Newcomb is an iPhone photographer who enjoys photographing nature in extreme close up. He also likes to document his running activities, go hiking on occasion, and stare at the night sky for inhumanely long amounts of time. Steven currently lives in Sacramento.

Eileen Noyer

Visual Art

Eileen Noyer is a self-taught artist who was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. She was first introduced to art as a young child; going to art camps hosted by her grandparents for all the cousins, making ceramics in her father’s studio, life-drawing as a teen, and having family catch-ups at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Untamed landscapes of Australia have a particular significance to Eileen. She started repelling/canyoning in the Blue Mountains National Park at age 11, which then evolved into a passion for multi-day hiking and travelling. She has traveled to almost 30 countries across 6 continents; her most life-changing of which was meeting her now-husband Josh while hiking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. The Blue Mountains and other familiar hiking trails have become recurring themes in her work. Her problem-solving approach to art can be attributed to having a background in Occupational Therapy and working in the disability sector. Eileen’s passion for art intensified when she moved to Northern California in 2014, as it became a point of connection to the land, her friends and family. She adopted the use of vibrant, thick brushstrokes that are pre-mixed and placed on the canvas to elicit a sense of movement and freedom. Eileen is a represented artist with JCO’s Art Haus and has recently been elected Director on the Board of Rancho Cordova Arts.

Linda Nunes

Linda Nunes grew up in California’s Bay Area. Her art journey began with collage, acrylic and watercolor. Linda began working with encaustic and mixed media thirteen years and has found her creative happy place there. Her contemporary work brings narratives to life’s fault lines. She works primarily on cradled wood panels using layer upon layer of bee’s wax and resin which could include up to 30 other media. Her work has been shown throughout California as well as Dallas and Santa Fe. Linda is an award-winning artist and dedicated member of the Sacramento art community. Her work moves from abstract to surreal sometimes revealing a solitary storyline. You may recognize topics of faith, elements of home, the human condition and, at times, a little foolishness. Linda’s art degree is from CSU, Sacramento. She works from her studio in Rancho Cordova, California where she lives with her husband and a narcissistic, Jewish-Portuguese feline named Ira Solomon Nunes.
