As a photographer for over twenty-five years, Andrea Stone’s passion has taken her to cities such as Portland, Seattle, New York, Chicago and abroad to many of the great cities of Europe. During these expeditions, she photographs modern architecture, transforming ordinary urban structures into sublime portraits of the contemporary metropolis. The resulting work is a fusion of mediums with the design elements of architecture, the painterly qualities of Monet, the compositional balance of Mondrian, and the vibrancy and color of Kandinsky. She has created a style that can only be described as works that lie at the intersection of photography and painting.
Andrea Stone is an internationally recognized artist with images showcased throughout the world in a variety of different galleries, competitions, international and national publications. Her work is also in the permanent collection of The Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, California.
The public is invited to view Andrea’s latest collection at the gallery space she co-owns with husband and fellow photographer, Rob Stone. The gallery is open on Saturdays from Noon-5pm. March-May, as well as by appointment.
