Mexico born and Sacramento raised, Francisco Chavira likes to explore old ways of taking photos. Polaroid and instant film shot with old cameras have been one of his main mediums for years. The tangibility and uniqueness are found nowhere else. He is a believer in long term projects that takes years of work to complete. Constantly inspired by bold colors and minimal compositions.

This post may make you hungry! 😋 I love food!!!! Some of the work I’m most proud of (even though I hardly post about it) is all the amazing food I get to photograph. I get to shoot some of the most amazing chefs and farms in the Sacramento area. If it’s nots @gingerelizabeth incredible 🍨 desserts and chocolate 🍫 . It’s @chefpedroc creating amazing food 🥘 for local restaurants. Or gorgeous produce 🌽 for @sonomamarket. And sometimes I get to go to local farms growing the best produce 🍅 🍊 California has to offer for @stonesthrowfarmca @cagrown. I love shooting food and that definitely sparks joy. ⚡️
