Melissa Arendt

In my work, I am often interested in portraying the visual variety of Earth’s occupants, environments and objects by assembling them together within my art. I create art that tells the story of a place and is a visual reflection of its community, culture and environment. Ultimately, my work serves as a fragmented record of life on Earth, presenting assorted components that make it such a fascinating, complex, absurd and cherished place.

I am a California native and studied graphic design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
