After studying art at California State University Long Beach – alma mater of Jim Dine and Steven Spielberg – Rochelle Sherbert applied her degree in fine arts to designing fashion for the masses in Los Angeles. Name a retailer (from back in the brick and mortar days) and she probably had product in that store at some time in the 1980s and 1990s; from Niemans to Walmart, as I said, the masses.
Now she discovered late in life what it is like to be an artist with a day job, leaving plenty of creative energy to generate personal expressions on the page and on the canvas.
You can see her work at The Art Studios, located on 1727 I Street in Sacramento.
Oh, prepare yourself for scale shock.
